Tasty Tuesday ~ Arugula Salad with Basil Vinaigrette via @FoodSnobSTL


Hi Rambles of a SAHM readers! I'm back with another Tasty Tuesday and a new series: Love Where You Live. For this series I will be participating in the weekly CSA program. Many people I've talked to are intimidated by CSAs or are afraid they won't know what to do with "all those vegetables."

My goal is to show you how practical a CSA is through sharing what I get, how I use it and recipes along the way. Additionally, I hope to excite people about eating locally, especially St. Louisians, and supporting your local farmers and food producers. So, this first week my CSA share included:
  • 1 beef kabob
  • 1 large tomato
  • 2 oz. basil
  • Arugula
  • 1 bunch of radishes
  • Spinach
  • 1 dozen farm fresh eggs
  • 2 cookies from a local bakery
I've been using the spinach in smoothies, making lots of scrambled eggs for baby snob and used the other ingredients for an Arugula Salad with Basil Vinaigrette.
