Do you have a boy in your life? (Or a girl for that matter!) Does that child love games that take skill and use lots of action? If your answer is yes then I've got the perfect new game for you. The Disney Planes Sky Race Action Game from Wonder Forge is the ideal activity for an indoor family game day.
This past winter was so long and harsh and we were trapped inside for so long. I would have given just about anything to have had this game then. This is such a fun game for the whole family. Each time you play it there is something different about it because the course is totally up to you. It is suggested for ages 4 and up, but with a little bit of help we played with the 2 year old as well.
|The kids had so much fun deciding where to place each of the Stage Markers. Some were just on the floor and then others were on top of furniture such as the TV stand and the coffee table.|
The set up is quite simple. You just place each of the 8 Stage Markers around the house to make up your course. The directions say that each marker needs to be at least three giant steps away from each other. Then you shuffle the Flight Control Tiles and place one face down (no peeking!) at each station except the 8th station. There will be two left over just set them aside.
The kids had so much fun setting up the course. Some of the markers were on the floor, while others were perched atop furniture. Don't worry too much about breaking things because the planes are made of foam and can do very little damage.
|The grand boys even talked their Poppy into playing with them. For this stage the Flight Control Tile said SNOW! which meant you had to lay on your back on the floor to throw the plane. Boys will be boys no matter their size!|
Now you're ready to play! Everyone starts at Stage Marker 1. Begin by turning over the Flight Control Tile to find out how you will need to throw your plane. This is where the hilarity will begin. Each of the Flight Control Tiles contains a particular instruction about how you are to fly your plane from one stage to another. For instance if you get the STORM! tile you will have to toss your plane between your legs. If you get the SNOW! tile you will have to toss your plane laying on your back. Whoever wins that Stage keeps the Tile to add up at the end.
When you have completed the entire course each player will add up their tiles and place their marker on the corresponding space on the Leader Board to determine the winner. As with most of WonderForge's games there are some advanced options to make the game even more challenging.
