Free Books for Kids ~ Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

I had the privilege of growing up in a home full of books. My mom has the theory that if you can read you can do just about anything. Now that I have children of my own I realize just how important it is to pass on my love of reading.

We live fairly close to a Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede so every once in a while we go to one of the shows. On our last visit I noticed a display promoting The Imagination Library. I picked up a brochure and once I got home I went online and checked the program out.

The Imagination Library is designed to give every child enrolled one hardback book a month from birth through age five. If enrolled from the beginning the child would wind up with a personal library of sixty books. The books are age appropriate.

If you are interested in enrolling your child it can be done in four easy steps.

Step 2: Scroll down and agree to the terms and conditions.
Step 3: Check for availability in your area. (It now covers almost the whole USA.)
Step 4: Enter your parent or guardian information.

That's it! Now all you have to do is wait for your first book to arrive.

Do you already participate in this program? If you do leave us a comment below telling us how you and your children like it.

  1. My kiddos were too old for this program when we found out about it but my niece and nephew were in it. The books are amazing. They are high quality hardback books that will really last. So much fun to get them in the mail. They each got one a month and since they were different ages they received different books. Awesome program!
