Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Power of Giving: A Christmas Story
Written by Howard Binkow
Illustrated by Susan F. Cornelison
About the book:
Howard liked owning but not sharing. At Christmas time, he learned the joy of giving and to value real things instead of stuff. Tips/lessons included. The seventh in the award winning Howard B. Wigglebottom series. Reviews/support resources are available at wedolisten.com.
My thoughts:
This is one of a series of stories about an adorable bunny named Howard B. Wigglebottom. In this edition Howard learns about not only getting gifts but also the importance of giving gifts. Through an unfortunate event brought on by his selfishness Howard learns the value of sharing. Other topics that are included in the book are staying out of trouble, homelessness, talking to strangers and the spirit of the holidays.
The illustrations are just beautiful and sure to keep the attention of your little one. This book and the rest of the series is put out by the We Do Listen Foundation. You can find out more about them at their website, www.wedolisten.com The website also includes free animated books, games and songs. You can print lessons and posters from the books. There is also a link where you can email the author.
