Baby Shower 2012: Sage Spoonfuls Review & Giveaway @sagespoonfuls

As parents, we only want the best for our children. By feeding them homemade baby food, we are not only giving them the most delicious and nutritious food—we are laying a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy food choices.
You don't need to be a chef, have a lot of time on your hands, or a kitchen full of fancy equipment to make and store your own baby food—in fact you'll be shocked at how easy it is with the Sage Spoonfuls system. By spending just 1 hour every 2 weeks, you can have a freezer stocked with healthy and delicious baby food, made from safe, natural ingredients. Instead of going to the store to buy baby food, you can simply "go shopping" in your freezer!
The Sage Spoonfuls system includes Liza's beautiful book, Sage Spoonfuls-Simple Recipes, Healthy Meals, Happy Babies. Here you will find everything you need to know about introducing and starting your baby on solids as well as age-specific and family recipes. Sage Spoonfuls also includes a user friendly immersion blender with food processor, 4 oz baby food storage jars, stackable trays, labels, a handy pocket guide, an insulated cooler bag with a reusable freezer pack, and a large multipurpose, insulated tote. All Sage Spoonfuls products are BPA free and made of non-toxic materials. Additionally, our baby food storage jars, freezer pack, storage trays and labels are all made in the USA! All products are BPA, Lead, Phthalate and PVC free!
The idea for Sage Spoonfuls was born 4 years ago, when I had my first baby. I searched high and low and could not find homemade baby food products that offered the ease of use, convenience and quality I was looking for. I created Sage Spoonfuls so parents would have a complete system for making their own baby food, from natural and wholesome ingredients, and for storing and taking it with them "on-the-go." With my system, parents can have the same convenience as store-bought, but with the enormous benefits of homemade. I hope you enjoy Sage Spoonfuls as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Our thoughts:
With little M I really wanted to make our own baby food but after being overwhelmed I ended up just buying baby food. Three years later and little H is here and I knew I did not want to be buying baby food again. I was then on the hunt for a practical and easy way to make baby food.
When I came across Sage Spoonfuls I still was not sure if it would be easy and something I could stick to doing. I was really excited to review it and see if I could make it work for our family. Two things that made Sage Spoonfuls great was the quality of the Immersion Blender and Food Processor they are top of the line and make it easy to prepare the baby food.
The other thing is the Sage Spoonfuls Book – Simple Recipes*Healthy Meals*Happy Babies. This book contains everything you need to make your own baby food. I love this book and it is what really has made the process easy. The book teaches you how to prepare, what to buy, and when your child is ready for certain foods. After reading the book I felt as though the author had literally walked me through every step. The recipes are also good and easy to follow.
I really wish I had Sage Spoonfuls three years ago. I would highly recommend buying TheLet’s Get Started package. It will save you a lot of money and the equipment is made to last so you won’t have to buy it again. I can honestly say that after getting this kit I am more excited to make baby food. I do not fill overwhelmed and that really comes from having the Sage Spoonfuls Book.
