Cookie Making and Giveaway with King Arthur Flour

About King Arthur Flour:

Business is about relationships:
learn about our recipe for success.

Why choose King Arthur Flour?
There are four major qualities that set us apart from our larger competitors, enabling us to outpace them, the industry, and the overall economy.
  1. First, we have an earned respect. There is a sense that our enterprise is special in what it stands for, what it does, and how we do it. This shows itself in the uncommon efforts and contributions - not only from those who work here, but also those with whom we work.
  2. Second, we have honest enthusiasm that spills over to those with whom we do business - from current and prospective employees, to customers and suppliers.
  3. Third, we have a culture of inclusiveness. We communicate just about everything to everyone in our organization, empowering them as partners in our endeavor. Strategies, plans, ambitions, and challenges aren't restricted to small circles behind closed doors - they're known, understood, and appreciated throughout our company.
  4. Fourth, making money in itself is not our highest priority. We view profit and wealth-creation as inevitable byproducts of doing things well.

Our thoughts:

Every year we bake cookies to take to our family, friends, and neighbors. It is a fun tradition that includes the whole family. That is why I was so excited to review King Arthur Flour's Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix and Perfect Decorating Set.

I was not expecting much from the sugar cookie mix. I just wanted it be a quicker way to make our Christmas sugar cookies while still tasting good. Last year I made our sugar cookies from scratch and they ended up being hard and salty. So I was thrilled when I took a bite of the King Arthur Sugar Cookie and it was moist and lightly sweetened. Yum!!

Little M and Ramble Sam made the mix the night before then let the cookie mix sit overnight in the refrigerator. The next day I pulled the cookie mix out and let it sit for about five minutes before rolling it out. The cookies rolled out quickly and came out nice and thick.

Little M had a lot of fun with the cookies and ended up making quite the mess. Oh the holidays!

We loved the Perfect decorating kit! The frosting was perfect. I will have to buy this every year now. I would really like to try using this frosting for gingerbread houses. Little M loved having his frosting colored blue. I loved how it made a lot of frosting and we had some left over even after making several different colors and Little M sneaking some. Even though these items were prepackaged they were just as good as making if from scratch. If I ever move to Vermont King Arthur Flour is a company I would love to work for. Until then I will just buy their incredible products!
