Getting Holiday Ready with It Works! Wraps + Giveaway

For a while now I have seen the It Works! Wraps everywhere and I have been curious about how they work.  One of my friends sells them and so she graciously let me try one out!

The wrap comes folded in a sealed bag. You just unfold it, take it out and smooth it across the area that needs toning.  I choose my mid-section and hips. I have had two kiddos and I could use the extra toning!

After you place the wrap you take plastic wrap (not included) and wrap it around the area over the top of the It Works! Wrap. Then you wait for 45 minutes and then you get results. It’s that easy. They do recommend drinking water and that is what I did while I waited and watched a movie.

The wrap smells like menthol and has a soothing cool sensation when it is applied. It felt like a spa treatment. After the 45 minutes I took it off then rubbed in the left over cream. You can repeat this process every 72 hours.

After both of my pregnancies I was left with a lot of stretch marks and I love that after I took off the wrap my stomach and hips were noticeably  toner. I also think it makes my stretch marks looks smoother.  It’s nice to see instant results and they say that with every wrap you use you see more results each time. If you want the results to last it is encouraged that you eat healthy and exercise regularly.

With the holidays and all those photos being taken it is a great time to try It Works! I am also keeping this in mind for summer vacations!

The Trio 3-in-1 High Chair in Whimsical Wonders Review

Ingenuity is at again, making mom's life easier one product at a time. You already know that I love their washable playard. Now I am in love with their Trio 3-in-1 High Chair! It’s a full-size high chair, booster seat, and restaurant style high chair. You can also seat two kids at the same time with this high chair!

I like to be frugal, especially when it comes to baby gear. I want a product that lasts and can be used at several different stages of my child's development. The Trio 3-in-1 High Chair fits all of those criteria. Since I can seat both of my boys at the same time I feel like I am really getting great use out of the Trio 3-in-1 High Chair.

When I first got the Trio 3-in-1 High Chair I wondered if you could switch back and forth easily between the three options. The simple answer is YES! Basically you just snap the seat on and off. I can do this by myself.

The fabric is easy to clean by either wiping it down or just tossing it in the washer. The tray is just as easy to clean with a rag or it can be placed in the dishwasher. The tray can be snapped on and off with one hand. (The only drawback is that it sticks a little.)

My oldest likes to help cook and the restaurant style high chair makes it easy for him to be next to our counter top. When in the restaurant style high chair mode you can use the wheels to push the high chair around. The wheels lock but I found that my youngest could still move the high chair when it is locked.

I really think once parents get their hands on this high chair other companies are going to want to copy this design. I would really recommend this high chair especially for the price. You are getting  two high chairs you can use at once and three styles to fit you growing child’s needs.

Evenflo Triumph® LX Convertible Car Seat Review

If you like frustration free installation then the Triumph® LXConvertible Car Seat is going to be a great fit for you! This car seat is so user friendly that anyone should be able to use it just by looking at the car seat and following the instructions on the car seat.

My favorite feature is the TensionRight™ side knobs for one hand harness tightening. This feature is awesome! I am not sure why other car seats don’t have this. I can get such a tighter fit harness with this feature and my son doesn't notice I am tightening it and try to wiggle out.

I like that the fabric is easy to wipe down and also can be removed for washing. The design is nice too. My son is really comfortable in this car seat and I think it has to do with it being so wide. The only problem with a wide seat would be if you need to fit three car seats across however we only have two and there is still plenty of room in our car. We did have to put this car seat in the center for it to fit rear facing in our car in our van this was not an issue.

The Infinite Slide™ Harness easily slides for an accurate fit every time and since we have had this car seat for a while (2 months) this has come in handy. I love this feature and feel like my son gets the best fit every time we go somewhere.

The Triumph® LX Convertible Car Seat can seat a child up to 65lbs so you will get great use out of this seat and only need a booster after they outgrow this seat.

I honestly feel like the Triumph® LX Convertible Car Seat has amazing features for a very affordable price. I would highly recommend this car seat for the next stage after the infant car seat or if you are on a real tight budget start with this car seat as it is suitable for a 5lbs baby !

Leap Frog ~ Ready, Set, Read & Write Giveaway with #LeapReader

This is Little M’s last year of preschool and since we have chosen to homeschool I will be teaching him to read and write. While we do have a curriculum I was looking for something that would make learning to read and write fun. Around this same time MomSelect and Leap Frog asked if we could host a party and review the LeapReader and I gladly said yes.

Our kit included everything we needed to really test out the LeapReader. Little M was excited to show it to everyone and right away started using it. The LeapReader is easy to use and requires no batteries! To charge your LeapRead just plug it into the USB drive and let it charges. This is also the way you upload books so that the LeapReader pin contains the programs for the books.

There are so many things you can do with just one book. You can have the book read to you, listen to music and play a trivia game.  Leap Frog is always adding to their audio books and currently there are over 150+ books to choose from. 

Little M thinks the Leap Read is pure entertainment and has no clue how much it teaches him. I have noticed that he is more imaginative and writes better after playing with the LeapReader. The other aspect of the LeapReader that I like is how it teaches listening skills. This skill is something Little M needs work on and to use the LeapReader you have to follow directions.

I think what speaks most highly about the LeapReader is that my son has learned that learning to read and write can be fun. Also as his teacher I realize that boys especially, like video games and the LeapReader makes reading and writing as fun as playing a video game. The best part is that he can sit by himself and do this quietly while I work on something else. As a homeschooling mom this is great since we spend most of our day with one on one interaction. 

Since Christmas is not too far away we thought we would give away a LeapReader to one of you. I really think this is the perfect gift for preschoolers learning to read and write!

Baby Cargo ~ Georgi Bag Review + Giveaway!

I love it when I come across a product that simplifies my life. Women are multitasked and especially mothers. We want companies to make products that fit out needs and most importantly several needs at once!

At this stage in my life I currently need three types of bags. 1) Diaper bag 2) Purse and 3) Stroller bag. Before receiving the GeorgiBag I was swapping between three bags and sometimes needed two at the same time. Not only is it a pain but I ended up leaving my wallet at home on several occasions.

I am elated that Baby Cargo has realized a mothers needs and combined all three bags into one the Georgi Bag! This bag is designed so well and the fabric is fashionable but easy to clean. It functions as a diaper bag but looks like a purse. I have had people complement me on my purse and then I unzip it and show them how it’s a diaper bag too.

Then there is the part of it being a stroller bag, Baby Cargo did not sacrifice fashion when designing the Georgi Bag to be a strollerbag.  The stroller straps are built into the purse strap and to change it to hang from the stroller you just snap the buttons together.  I use it this way with my double stroller.

If you want to use the Georgi bag on your single stroller you just slide the brass grommets over the handles. I also find the side pockets that unzip perfect for holding our drinks while we stroll. There are several pockets on the outside and inside as well. I love this for my phone, binky’s, keys, etc.

On the inside of the bag there are two sections so for me I keep all my stuff on one side and then all the diaper bag stuff on the other.  My old diaper bag did not have this feature and I spent a lot of time digging for things. I would absolutely recommend this diaper bag to my friends. It is fashionable and makes my life easier!

Joovy Hook Review ~ Clean Eating on the Go!

I am delighted to be a Joovy Mom and bring you evaluations from a great family run company. My paramount product I wanted to review was the Joovy Hook! Basically, trying to eat out with Little H is much harder than it was with his older brother. He is a little Houdini and the community high chairs not only gross me out but they are hazardous with Little H, half the time the belt is missing and then when there is a belt he turns sideways and stands up! Hence, what led me to pick the Joovy Hook for review…yes it was pure desperation of wanting little H to sit in his own chair and not my lap! 

The other reason is Thanksgiving is coming up and we never seem to have enough chairs for the meal and I supposed the Hook would be a great way at keeping a chair open but allowing us all to eat at the same table.

When the Hook arrived I was eager to see it was compact, lightweight and even comes in its own carrying case. The color is bright and with the fabric being Leatherette it is easy clean and maintains its bright color. The Hook is sturdy and can hold up to a 35lbs toddler.  I also like that is comes with an adjustable three point harness that cannot be unbuckled.  

I don’t know about your children but mine eat better when we are collected at the table. I think it is so important that they learn table manners and the hook provides that chance. 

What also keeps Houdini in is that the Hook is deep (10.5 inches to be exact!) and the leg holes make it impossible for Little H to stand up in it.  The photo above is of Little H throwing a fit and even when he leans back throwing a fit it is still too deep for him to fall backwards. This is the first highchair that my son cannot get out of or push it away from the table. 

I think the bottom line for me is that the Joovy Hook is safe and well-designed as well as it is stylish. I truly like Joovy’s fashionable colors and how they brand their products to look fresh and exciting.  I would recommend the Joovy Hook for people who travel and for a child that is persistently trying to get out of their highchair. Also, if you want to sit together as a family but still have a chair then I would say the Joovy Hook is the picture-perfect solution!

Having both a 1 year old and 4 year old it can be challenging to find toys that both boys can play with together. I also prefer toys that let them be creative while playing. I like toys that have several different levels of play and that will grow with the boys. 

I have always been impressed with the quality of Vtech toys and the Go! Go! Smart Wheels™ Train Station Playset did not disappoint.  When the box arrived the boys wanted to play with it right away and I was not so sure since hubby was not there to put it together however the boys were not going to wait for dad. I started pulling out all the parts and setting them on the train table when I noticed the boys working together and building it themselves. Literally all I had to do was put batteries in the tower and train, the boys did the rest.

They played with the Go! Go! Smart Wheels™ Train Station until it was bedtime and then the next day it was the first toy they played with as well. Did you notice I said THEY? Yes, they both love this toy and it is big enough for them to play it together without fighting. My oldest loves to be in charge and he comes up with ways to rearrange the tracks and my 1 year old feels big since he can help snap the tracks together. My 1 year old also loves all the interactive parts and buttons to push while my oldest loves the crank you turn to make the train go down the hill.

Overall I have been impressed with the quality of materials, how it engages both of my boys, and it is a toy they keep coming back to! I also love the creativity it brings out in both boys. My oldest has already asked for more Go! Go! Smart Wheels which is great since grandparents are always wanting to know what to buy for birthdays and Christmas. I am so excited that VTech is giving a reader a chance to win one too!

Back to Pre-School with Zutano ~ Super Hero Collection Fall 2013 + Giveaway

The quality of the clothing is impeccable and their designs are just fun. Little H looks so adorable in his Mandarin Terry Baby Jacket. It is a classic piece that will be great for the fall.

As you can see the boys and I had fun trying out these outfits and ended up with a lot of photos. I just love how you can wear these outfits so many ways and that my boys have fun wearing them.  I will be purchasing Zutano again and I really want my next baby's first outfit to be from Zutano!
