Blog Tour: Fairer than Morning by Rosslyn Elliott

 My thoughts:
This is a wonderful new series. Rosslyn Elliott’s writing style is fast paced and descriptive. The subject matter is heart wrenching. It is told in a graphic enough way to put you right in the scene but still not be vulgar. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and I can’t wait to read the second installment.

If your book group is looking for a historical fiction selection this would be great. It takes place at a very rough time in our history. The subjects of indentured servant, poor houses, and slavery are destined to lead to lively discussions. As a bonus there are discussion questions and a section of History or Fiction that was very interesting to read.

  1. Thank you for taking the time to read and review Fairer than Morning! I really appreciate your comment aboot book clubs. I have thought the same thing--I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall for a book club discussion of my novel because there are so many historical and personal issues to provide food for conversation. It would be really interesting to hear the variety of opinions that would probably emerge.

Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness!

  2. And one more thing...if you have a chance to post this review on Amazon at some point, I'd really appreciate it! We debut authors need all the help we can get. :-)
