My Thoughts

If you are a living and breathing person it's pretty much a given that you have experienced some pretty cloudy seasons in your life. We all have and we all know how hard it is to remain optimistic during those seasons. In Sunny Days Ahead Lindsay Franklin provides a roadmap to get you back on the path to a better frame of mind.

The set up for this daily devotional is simple. Scripture first. Then author thoughts and suggestions. And finally journaling from you. This should take around 10 minutes. . . very doable!

I liked how each successive day led into the next. By the end of the book you can have confidence and simple tools to help you right your thinking and get you back on track. The only drawback was the journaling portion is too small for me. I just used a separate journal. In the end that worked out better because now I have a clean book that I can pass on to a friend in need.

I should also say that I don't think you necessarily need to be in the midst of a crisis to benefit from this book. I thought it was a useful tool to remind me about the important things and actions that will keep me in a right frame of mind even in the midst of a storm.
