Hello all you fellow sleep-deprived, dark-circle eyed moms out there! I woke up this morning and decided that I would share with you one of my secrets . . . I am a closet dark-circle eye mom. Yes, I said it! I'm so tired (pun intended) of looking that way that I took myself to the Estee Lauder beauty counter and begged them for a miracle. Here's my find:
For a while now I have seen the It Works! Wraps everywhere
and I have been curious about how they work.
One of my friends sells them and so she graciously let me try one out!
The wrap comes folded in a sealed bag. You just unfold it, take it out and smooth it across the area that needs toning. I choose my mid-section and hips. I have
had two kiddos and I could use the extra toning!
After you place the wrap you take plastic wrap (not included) and
wrap it around the area over the top of the It Works! Wrap. Then you wait for 45 minutes and then you get results.
It’s that easy. They do recommend drinking water and that is what I did while I
waited and watched a movie.
The wrap smells like menthol and has a soothing cool sensation
when it is applied. It felt like a spa treatment. After the 45 minutes I took it off
then rubbed in the left over cream. You can repeat this process every 72 hours.
After both of my pregnancies I was left with a lot of stretch
marks and I love that after I took off the wrap my stomach and hips were noticeably toner. I also think it makes my stretch marks looks smoother. It’s nice to see instant results and they say
that with every wrap you use you see more results each time. If you want the
results to last it is encouraged that you eat healthy and exercise regularly.
With the holidays and all those photos being taken it is a great
time to try It Works! I am also keeping this in mind for summer vacations!
One reader will get to test out a It Works! Wrap for themselves! Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below to be entered. This giveaway will end on 12/02/13 at 12:00 am EST. Open to US only 18+
If you have been to your local mall recently you have probably seen the kiosk for shaping your eyebrows. I have to admit that I have totally shunned the place because it just did not appeal to me in the least. Who wants to be lying in a chair having your eyebrows plucked while strangers wander by?!!
Ain’t nobody needin to see that!
The other day I was at the mall with my mom and as we were browsing and trying to resist the draw of the cookie place my mom spotted the brow booth. The ensuing conversation went something like this:
Mom: Oh my goodness! When did they put that in? We need to go do that.
Me: There is no way I’m going to try that. It’s in the middle of the mall in front of everyone.
Mom: Who cares? Trust me it will be totally worth it. Besides it is across from Victoria’s Secret, they’ll be distracted.
Me: (Don’t you just hate it when your mom says trust me? You know she’s probably going to be right . . . but at what cost to my dignity?) I’ll watch you do it and then I’ll think about it.
Mom: Nope! You’re doing it. Those brows of yours have been needing some work. (Gee thanks mom!)
So being the good daughter that I am, I took a chance on it. (I should admit that I did make her go first!) I watched very carefully to see if she cringed or even flinched. Nope, not a twitch!
If you are wanting to try threading check Brow Art for a location near you! I also came across this little YouTube video that shows the difference between threading and waxing. It might help you decide which to try!
